The builder mindset, off the clock_

Platform engineering is my day job; spotting real-world problems and designing complete solutions for them is the habit underneath it. Two ventures where I combined software, AI, manufacturing, and business thinking — end to end, from problem to plan.

GlassMic

manufacturing × technology · decorative & packaging glass

A manufacturing and technology venture focused on modernizing the decorative and packaging glass industry — an industry where production still runs on paper registers and institutional memory, and where digital transformation is a competitive weapon rather than a buzzword.

Digital production tracking

Designed a tracking system covering the full manufacturing chain — raw material → production → QC → packing → dispatch — turning an opaque shop floor into queryable state.

Workflow automation

Planned manufacturing workflow automation and process optimization — applying the same "automate the recurring thing" discipline I use on cloud fleets to physical production.

Customer-facing configurator

Built concepts for an interactive glass design configurator — letting customers design and preview custom glass products instead of ordering from static catalogs.

Process R&D

Researched advanced glass coating techniques and specialty manufacturing processes to find defensible, higher-margin product lines.

AI Smart Insole

ai product concept · personalized healthcare · mobile 3D scanning

A concept for an AI-powered custom insole platform built around hardware most people already carry: the iPhone's TrueDepth camera. Instead of clinic visits and plaster casts, a foot scan from your phone drives custom insole manufacturing.

End-to-end workflow design

Designed the complete journey from 3D foot scan to custom insole manufacturing — every handoff between app, analysis, and production specified.

AI/CV pipeline

Planned the computer-vision pipeline for foot analysis — turning TrueDepth point clouds into manufacturing-ready measurements.

UX & product architecture

Focused on user experience and system architecture — the product only works if scanning feels effortless and the pipeline behind it is invisible.

Accessible healthcare

Explored personalized healthcare through mobile technology already in people's pockets — no special hardware, no clinic gatekeeping.

why this belongs on an engineer's portfolio

Neither of these is a unicorn story — they're something more useful: proof of a habit. Identify a real-world problem, design the complete solution — business model, product, technology, and operations together, not just the code. It's the same instinct that turns a one-off script into a platform, applied outside the terminal.

If you're building something that spans software, AI, and the physical world — that's a conversation I'd enjoy.
